We went on a field trip to Kurukuru Recycling Center. We gained a deeper understanding of the three R's- reduce, reuse and recycle.
We did a tour of the facility and participated in recycling activities.
We learned new vocabulary, read labels, and connect environmental concepts to our everyday experiences. We visited their paper making studio and made postcards using paper packs.

| We were challenged to produce zero food waste at their mealtime while learning about the amount of food waste produced every year that could productively go to a compost pile. |
