Hello Parents,
Welcome back to a week in review where we share some thoughts and go over some of the interesting stories of the week. English We continued to work on our writing skills and vocabulary. We acquired new vocabulary through book discussion groups. We located unfamiliar words in stories and determined their meaning using a variety of strategies. Throughout the week, we did fun quizzes to develop our dictionary skills. We used a dictionary to locate and define words.
Maths We worked on problem solving skills. We had a great time using a variety of challenge cards to solve real-life situations.
Unit of Inquiry
We continued our inquiry into homes. We observed the many different shapes and sizes of our homes and homes around the world. We investigated the factors that determine how and where people live. We also explored a variety of building materials. Throughout the week, we collaborated with our peers to work on our house projects.
