This week in grade 1!
Thanks to everyone who has been bringing in items for the food drive. We have already collected one big box full of food!
Just a reminder that next week is ICF on Friday. Can’t wait to see everyone’s costumes. The students have been working hard on decorations for the Mexico themed room.
Our new Unit of Inquiry is “Sharing the Planet”. Our central idea is “ We share and protect the earth’s finite resources.” We will be studying the different biomes and the resources we get from the, focusing on wetlands, forests, grasslands, freshwater and saltwater environments, and deserts.
Coming up there is also a drawing contest put together by our student council. The contest details are attached in the photo above. The IB learner profile attributes are inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced, and reflective.
